In This Land: The Purple Book, Volume Three

Spoiler alert: In This Land is an ongoing series. The summary teaser for this and other volumes may contain spoilers if you have not read the previous volumes.

Orinakin and Bade have finally confessed their love for each other and, for the first time in his life, Bade has a boyfriend. Their days are full of romantic moments, and their nights are full of unending passion, until Bade's brothers arrive. Suddenly, reality comes crashing back down on Bade, who has been so swept away by the dazzling Anorian way of life that he's forgotten his family's Nosupolin expectations. He's been sent to secure a marriage to the pharaoh, not dally with foreign princes, and under no circumstances is he allowed to have a boyfriend (or even a girlfriend, for that matter). Now that his family is here, and he's no longer courting the pharaoh, they'll expect him to return home with them.

Bade sees a new role for himself in Nosupolis anticipating Tiko's forward-thinking reign as king. Bade wants to do everything he can to help Tiko's vision of their nation's future become reality. But he's been exposed to so many new things, new ideas, and new experiences, can he really ever be happy in his quiet little mountain country again? More importantly, can he ever be happy without Orinakin? Torn between two worlds, can Bade give up the love of his life for his country?

Orinakin had chosen not to date to avoid this very conflict. To become attached to a lover only to leave him behind to travel the world is an unbearable fate he's tried to prevent, yet here he is. While diplomatic duties pull Orinakin away, Bade is leaving to return home, and Orinakin is helpless to stop him. Orinakin has known that this would happen, but he hadn't realized that it would be this hard. If he asks Bade to stay, will Bade stay out of love for him, or infatuation with the bright new world of Orina Anoris he represents? How will he find the strength to let Bade go?

Revisit Bade, Orinakin, and the rest of Orinakin's brothers, the eccentric, sexy, multi-colored princes of Orina Anoris, for the third volume of The Purple Book of the series "In This Land."

In This Land: The Purple Book, Volume Three consists of the chapters 30-45 of "In This Land."  Included is a bonus short story, "The Legend of Bulan and Mjesec," along with access to exclusive on-line content.
