Aside from Kudorin, of course, who do you think will end up a dad? Since we know that none of them are marrying women, there's gonna be a lot of adoption going on. Here's what I think:

Remin will be a fantastic father. He's patient like crazy, incredibly selfless, and kids adore him. I hope he and his husband adopt lots of kids.

Call me crazy, but I don't think Orinakin and Bade will end up with a little one in tow. I do think they'd do very well as parents, and Kasu and Tasum are proof that you can raise great people while traveling, but I doubt it will happen for them.

Selorin, if he has any, will be his kids' nightmare. They'll think it's totally unfair that they can't lie to him, but later in life they'll appreciate it. I hope his kids work for the next royal high judge, like Dimi's son, Dakeb, works for Selorin now. I'm not convinced he'll have kids, though, because this strikes me as something he and Orinakin would have in common and if Orinakin and Bade remain childless, I think Selorin would, too. But you never know, I guess.

Desin will be the guy with a gaggle of kids who worship the ground he walks on. He'll be the one toting his kids with him to work, making mud pies with them, and reliving his childhood. He's going to be the kind of parent who is his children's best friend as well as an authority figure. I can absolutely see Desin working the land with a baby strapped to his back.

Anosanim will be the mother hen. I can see him wanting to pamper and spoil his babies, so he'll need a husband who can keep him grounded. Talin will be Uncle Extraordinaire. With him and Anosanim being two halves of a whole, it wouldn't surprise me if only one of them had kids.

I'm undecided on Extra; he's too unseasoned yet to tell. I do know for certain that he'll be the uncle that is always getting the kids into mischief. He and the next eighth sibling will be think as thieves, for sure.

I agree with you pretty much CL.  I too think Desin will have a gaggle of kids.  I wish that he could have a husband and a wife.  I think he could pull that off really well.  I would have to meet Remin's husband before I would say that he will have children.  I think it could go both ways.  I can see Orinakin & Bade and Selorin and his husband choosing to be the Uncles extrodinaire to all of Desin's gaggle and Kudorin, Ankira and Xoe Voe's 13.  Add in Anosanim's brood and they will have enough little ones around the palace to keep everybody happy.

I agree, too.  I think Bade and Vade would freak out too much over every little thing for them to adopt.  Just want to point out one thing though - both Desin and Rini are bi, therefore it is a possibility that they may father children.

For Desin or Rini to father children, which would be wonderful, they would need to be married to women of course.  Not that that would be a bad thing at all.  Other than the Pharoh's marrigaes, which are separate marriages, we haven't seen a three way marriage.  With Anorians being so open I can't see them putting their foot down and saying marriages must be between two people only.

Like I said above, I can see Desin in that type of relationship easily, with both a wife and a husband., in a true M/M/F relationship.

True, Desin and Rini could marry women. I suppose I thought that when Matthew said they'd marry guys, that would be their only spouse. Do we know if Anorians can take more than one spouse? I know the pharaoh does it, but he/she is a god and it's part of the Anorian governmental structure. Given how they roll, it wouldn't surprise me if polygamy is allowed.

Don't know how I feel about reading about one of the guys getting it on with a woman, though. One of the thinks I love most about ITL is the lack of girl cooties.

I am not fond of girl cooties either.  Sad Head Shake The occasional kiss and cuddle between Kuorin and Anikira is fine, I don't mind that.  At least we know that we don't have to worry about M/F In This Land Wink

( RL comment: When I am reading M/M I like it to stay that way.  I haven't myself had the experience of having a M/F episode break out in one of my M/M books but I know that that has happened to other M/M readers.)

As I'm reading this and saw 'three-way marriage', I was instantly brought back to what is commonly referred to as 'The Masterpiece' that is Living.  Sorry... I don't mean to bring it up.

Adoption seems like a great idea but I wonder if that would happen because in OA, there are no unwanted children, unless tragedy strikes and the chld loses both parents, so it would have to be children from somewhere else.  Because, if you'll remember, a couple needs to have the gods' approval before they can have a child.

lmao, I can so see Selorin's kids though...

IIRC Libi and her partner adopted a child so there must be children who come up for adoption occasionally.  Certainly not that many but some.

And I love the comment with Selorin, so true no kid of Selorins will be able to Liar

How about going out of the country to adopt? Nosupolis has orphanages and I'm sure many other countries do, too. And I'd bet they love to send kids home with Anorians because the quality of life there is so good. It was mentioned that Jacacea has a good adoption system set up. Perhaps the Siblings' spouses will travel there in search of a child.

Liliac Majesty asked a similar question Here in a topic about The Siblings as Parents.  One of the responses about Bade and Orinakin on the topic of adoption said

I could almost seeing them (later much later on in life... ok maybe in like 5 years) becoming a kind of Bradjelina clan with babies from everywhere.  Love

Matthew replied that he could see that.

We know that Orinakins before have married foreigners and probably had children with them, or adopted if they were a same sex couple, so there probably has been children of mixed Anorian parentage in the cousins throughout the 182 generations.  If more than Bade and Orinakin adopted out of Orina Anoris, since most, if not all the seven Siblings will marry a same sex partner, then the makeup of the cousins to Kudorin & Ankira and Kudorina and Xoe Voe's 13 will be very cosmopolitain.  I think that would be a lovely way of bringing the world together.  A mini United Nations of cousins in the Royal family in this generation.

  Happy Hands

I found my answer in another topic!  In a discussion about the potential for Selorin, Vade and Jekari having a M/M/M marriage.

I imagine that as long as the priests bless the union, anyone can get married.  So my guess is: yes, that's possible.

There must be some children to adopt; I recall that Remin asked Bade and Orinakin about having kids. And then also, Selorin and Vade had a very intense discussion about it when they were talking about gender roles. Leads me to believe there are parentless children out there in OA.

If Selorin marries Vade, I could totally see them having kids  Adore

It will be interesting to see how they go about adopting. And yeah no kid of Selorins would aever be able to get away with a falsehood. Laughing
