Sincere apologies for the pornography that the spambots have vomited all over the board.  They went way too far beyond far yesterday, and I've altered the registration process accordingly.

Hope that it works.  If it doesn't, I'll make further changes.

I had contacted Matthew to let him know about the problems some of the ITL readers, from the Black Dagger Brotherhood Board were having registering.  Matthew, so kindly has modified the registration process.  Unfortunately it will allow for spammers and bots to register as well.  Matthew has requested that we be patient while he works on this issue and finds a solution that allows for real readers to register and keeps the spam and bots away.

Since we now have spammer postings, please assist LilacMajesty and Matthew, in knowing who is real and who isn't by introducing yourself in the Hang out, say hello, introduce yourself section of the Board HERE.  And be patient while Matthew figures out a solution that works for us all.

Since I was the person who asked LilacMajesty and Matthew for the registration to be opened so the readers who were trying to register could do that, I feel very responsible for the spammers.

I have been sending Matthew updates about what is happening here since the spammers have invaded.

I have researched and sent Matthew the links to the programs that can be used to prevent spammers and bots from joining.

I have offered to do anything at all possible to assist getting rid of the bots and spammers from monitoring new members that I come across, to sending messages with names via PM to him so he can more easily delete their accounts.

I have offered to learn how to admin this board, clean it out, set up the preventer programs and then leave it to a mod of his choice.

I visit LJ daily to see if their have been any further responses since the last one 3 weeks ago.  There have been 2 mentions to the problems in the weekly LJ message.  So far I have no direct responses, since the one I mentioned in the updates.

BUT I live in HOPE.  Matthew posted this yesterday in the LJ ITL posting message

(I have some messages in my in-box that I need to get back to some people about. Just wanted to let you know that I'll get back to you soon, it's just 2:38 in the morning here and I need to step out for a minute to, you know, nap and stuff.)

I hope that he meant LilacMajesty & me. 

I would hate to have to live with the knowledge that I killed this board.
