This is going to sound silly but I think I've found a way to cure my "refresher-ness." I con all my friends into going to dinner and a movie. If I do it right I'm home by midnight and the post is up. It's just waiting for everyone to get off of work that's the hard part (and the part I haven't been able to occupy my time with). I think my people are getting frustrated though ... this is four weeks in a row I've done this. We're all starting to run out of money. I never thought a $1.99 a month subscription would turn into a $100 a month habit.  .... *Click* Ok, so it's not really cured. But dinner and a movie totally helps. |

I do a 12-hour shift work and I hate day shifts. One of the reason why is the fact that the local time here when Matthew usually post a new chapter is around 2 in the morning. So, technically "It's Saturday!" for me. But today is my last day shift so I can actually stay up late and not worry about waking up at 5:30am. I'm looking forward to Saturdays where I'm actually awake to anticipate the new chapter.  |

So, I just got back from the US Embassy in Riyadh. I got a new non-immigrant visa. I've been so anxious the whole week because of this. The last time I've been there was 2 years ago when I got so insulted  by the woman who interviewed me. I was literally shaking when I got out. Here are some of the horrible conversation: Interviewer: What's the purpose of your visit? Me: I'd like to visit my brother and his family. And just to do some sight-seeing. Interviewer: How did your brother get an immigrant visa? Me: My sister-in-law is a nurse and my brother is a physical therapist. They applied for the visa thru an agency. They were in London when the application went through. Soon after they immigrated to the US. Interviewer: Yes, but how? Me: Uh, through the Nursing agency. My sister-in-law was the one who applied for both of them. Interviewer: Yes, but how? Me: I don't know. I didn't ask my brother the specifics of their application. Interviewer: Oh, you're not close with your brother before, but you're close to him now that he's got an immigrant visa? I was so shocked and insulted with what she said I wanted to cry. She did some other things but that one really got to me. She denied me a visa even though I've had 2 non-immigrant visas before and that I've been to the US 4 times. My brother having an immigrant visa was never an issue before. It took me 2 years to go back to the Embassy. I was really scared to go. So I was quite pleased today when I got a pleasant nice woman this time. The interview took about a minute and just like that, I got a visa. I'm gonna see my niece! The last time I saw her was when she was born. She's 3 years old now. See the cute pic below:  |

Awwwwwwwww She's absolutely adorable! I'm sorry you're having so many problems just trying to visit your brother. I know my cousin who lives in Kuwait has only been able to get permission once to visit her family here, once in nearly twenty years.

I suffer from really bad migraines so I'm taking at least 3 medications for it. I have to stop taking all of them if I want to have a baby so I'm not really looking forward to having tons of migraines in the coming weeks. I've never been without a job since I finished school and it's a bit scary. But I'm happy at the same time because I won't miss the stress. I can afford not to work so that's another stress I can throw out the window. So, we'll see how it goes. |

Good luck to you, too, Falconer! Your thesis is done! I'm sure you did great. Maybe you could look into natural pain killers that won't harm the baby? Herbal remedies? I had acupuncture sessions for 6 months and it helped some, but I can't do acupuncture when I'm pregnant since it induces labor. I'm taking magnesium and Vitamin B2 since there's some studies out there that says these help. Another one is feverfew but pregnant women can't take them either  I will really try not to have a migraine because I can't take anything for it so I'll be stuck with a headache for 3 days. My strategy is to have absolutely no stress. Regular sleep, no skipping meals, and some light exercises. I don't like Yoga and I'm not good with meditations but maybe some other exercises would help. |

Well, after putting in 60 hours a week at my job and not even having anyone care about the effort, I was given an "ultimatum" on staying. As of this afternoon, I was let go. So fun there. And a friend of mine lost her battle with melanoma this week, so I had the wake and funeral to attend. I just got done working at the part time job, which was overly busy and now I just want some ITL. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Good luck on getting pregnant! I get horrible migraines too, in fact I had one last night that kept me up all night, so I wish you luck in finding a treatment that won't harm the baby. |

Thanks everyone. Apparently it;s a bad month to be my friend. One of my bff's mom's funeral is tomorrow. She was 56, perfectly healthy and then bam! Gets a little sick, goes to the doctor and is dead within 6 hours of feeling sick. What is with everyone kicking the bucket?
Seriously, you all are not my friends this month. Be glad of that.

No formal autopsy was done, but they think it was actually a massive blood clot in her lung. The doctors were just as shocked as everyone else when she went, cause they thought that she was gonna make it. |

I remember a few years ago when I took the Advanced Life Support course, we enumerate all the treatment for different life-threatening diagnosis but when the diagnosis is the blood clot to the lungs or Pulmonary Embolism, all you can do is pray. Of course now that's changing, with life-saving blood thinners out there but still, that's bad. My condolences again. |

Sorry that the reply is more than a month too late. I just got back from vacation and is trying to catch up with the discussions. Yes, Canadians love Adam Lambert. The girl next to me said that Adam is what the concert is all about. I actually felt a little sad about Kris since Adam got more screams than him. I'm feeling great. The baby's kicking like crazy even though I'm only 5 months pregnant. I feel like the baby's using my bladder as a trampoline. |

I actually love it when the baby kicks because he/she is making his/her presence known. Everyday I'm just in awe.

I love Fridays. Fridays come before Saturdays, which is when I usually get to read the new chapter. Now all I have to do is make the time move swiftly, but not too. On deck is shopping for programmable thermostats for our electric baseboard heating (I hate those things), a new microwave, and bigger pyjamas for my son. He's six months old and change and is growing out of 6-9 month size clothes.  |

Right now I am reading Chapter 98 and . Yes Matthew did say he would be late but he also said hopefully it would be up sometime during the weekend. I just finished purcasing a subscription for a freind for her Christmas present. She wanted to start reading just after the New Year and I wanted the password to be active so I bought it today. I will purchase another in a couple of days for my other freind who I know will love it. She has been reading Chapter 1, 2 & 3 over and over again but was waiting for some extra $$$ to subscribe so I told her I would buy it for her for Christmas. |

They're cutest when they're asleep. LOL Especially newborns, they look like such little angels. I miss the itty bitty baby stage. Their needs are so simple, so predictable. And they don't move. My son, who's my second child, is nine months old already and crawling everywhere. I think when he crosses the line from baby to toddler, my husband and I are going to try for another one. I see pics like this and I go all mushy and get baby fever again and start daydreaming of being pregnant. |

Yeah, I don't remember the last time I got 8 hours, either. Sometime during my last pregnancy, but before my belly started getting in the way. It's just how it goes, I think. But they're so freaking cute, aren't they? The best is when my three and a half year old daughter runs up to me, wraps herself around my legs, and says "I love you, Mommy." Or when my son curls up on my chest and just cuddles in. |

It's Tuesday. But Wednesday is a good day for me because it's the last day of my husband's work week. Thursday always goes fast because he's home and I get to get out of the house by myself for a few hours in the evening for knitting group. Friday also goes fast because he's home for most of it then usually goes to a friend's house in the evening and doing bedtime for both the kids by myself makes the time fly. So really, just because it's Tuesday doesn't mean the next update is all that far away. Courtney <--- almost have myself convinced all that makes the waiting easier |

Since I was the person who asked Liz and Matthew for the registration to be opened so the readers who were trying to register could do that, I feel very responsible for the spammers. I have been sending Matthew updates about what is happening here since the spammers have invaded. I have researched and sent Matthew the links to the programs that can be used to prevent spammers from joining. I have offered to do anything at all possible to assist getting rid of the bots and spammers from monitering any new members that I come across, to sending messages with names via PM to him so he can easily delete their accounts. I have offered to learn how to admin this board, clean it out, set up the preventer programs and then leave it to a mod of his choice. I visit LJ daily to see if their have been any further responses since the last one 3 weeks ago. There have been 2 mentions to the problems in the weekly LJ message. So far I have no direct responses, since the one I mentioned in the updates. BUT I live in HOPE. Matthew posted this yesterday in the LJ ITL posting message (I have some messages in my in-box that I need to get back to some people about. Just wanted to let you know that I'll get back to you soon, it's just 2:38 in the morning here and I need to step out for a minute to, you know, nap and stuff.) I hope that he meant Liz & me. I would hate to have to live with the knowledge that I killed this board. |

Just thought I'd give you all here an update. I manage a Garden Center and the last 2 months have been crazy busy getting everything all ready. Between the paperwork and having to work in the dept I have been putting in 60 hr work weeks. But the plants started to arrive yesterday and I am now out in the GC so life is fine. It is good work and I love it.
Maybe I can help Desin supply the flowers & plants for Kudorin and Xoe Voe's May wedding.
