I thought it might be a good idea to start this topic before Ana and I get ourselves in trouble on another thread. lol Are Ana and I the only ones watching American Idol? In my opinion, Adam Lambert is going to run away with the whole thing. He's got a kick ass voice and he's being doing musical theater since he was ten, so he has fantastic stage presence. A friend and I were laughing this morning at someone on YouTube, who seems to think that calling Adam gay is insulting him. Adam's myspace says he's gay. And why would that be an insult, anyway?

I'm a bit behind because I'm not in the US so I'm still downloading the show from last night. So, wait for me!  I thought it might be a good idea to start this topic before Ana and I get ourselves in trouble on another thread. l
Yeah, I was thinking about that  Seriously, I've never watched American Idol until this January when I went on vacation. They were showing the auditions in different states on tv and it was just fascinating to watch. So when I returned to Riyadh, I had to find out who the finalists are. Darn, this show is addicting! I've seen similar shows like the "I'd Do Anything" when they were looking for the part of Nancy from "Oliver". That show was amazing! Anyway, when I saw Adam Lambert audition, I just absolutely love him! So yeah, he's my favorite. I like Danny, too, but I felt they sensationalized the death of his wife waaaay too much. I have a new fantasy. Adam makes it to the Final Two and he gets to sing Roger's part in La Vie Boheme with the rest of the movie cast. Then him and Anthony hook up after the show and live happily ever after.
I'm trying to remember who's Anthony..... Let me get back to you on that. I still can't vote, though  |

Oh, I remember him now from the movie. I haven't seen Rent in broadway. So, the final 13 on AI. I love Adam, Alexis, and Anoop.  I just noticed all their names starts from the letter A! And I'm Ana!  I have to see how Danny and Lil are later in the show, they just don't appeal to me right now. And I don't want to be heartless, but I don't think Scott was all that great. |

Simon said exactly what I was feeling about Nathaniel's song: excruciating! And I really like Nathaniel. Out of all those that auditioned, his life touched me the most.
The last batch didn't impress me. Taylor's "Some People" was bad. She should watch how Jodi did it in the UK show "I'd Do Anything". And Alex's performance was just awkward.

Adam!!!!!!     Oh my God!!!! I was watching on my laptop and I jumped from my seat and started screaming! I got nervous when I heard that the theme is Michael Jackson hits but he did it! He is amazing. He turned a Michael Jackson song, at one point, into heavy metal! Ahhhhhhh!!!! |

Too bad about Jasmine. I like Anoop but I cringed at his last performance. I thought he's going home but I guess people still voted for him.

Adam is definitely getting the most positive feedback from the audience. I've been hanging out in AOL's AI chat for the last few days - and he's the most talked about contestant there, too. Most of its good, but we Adamites have had to beat down a few homophobes, too.

 My thoughts exactly! I was just with what he did to that song. I knew that some of the judges wouldn't appreciate his rendition of the song but who cares: He's different. I am pleased that Anoop came back from the dead and Matt really amazed me. I'm guessing Michael and Scott in the chopping block.  |

Adam was amazing! His theater background is definitely helping him in this competition. His hair and his suit looks like he should be in the 50's. I had a hard time locating him when the top 10 got introduced! I like Matt and Allison on this round. Megan and Michael should go home. Danny's performance suffered because he's next after Adam's performance. Poor guy. |

I actually haven't seen the entire show. The website where I download stuff, www.eztv.it, did an April fool's and nothing except sports can be downloaded. I did see Adam's performance and Megan's exit in youtube. And even though I didn't watch, I actually tried to vote for Adam from Saudi Arabia and I think I got in 15 times.  |

Oh. My. God!!! Adam's rendition of "Mad World" is absolutely amazing! When I first saw it in youtube, the copy was horrible, I couldn't see much of Adam's face, and I thought, well that was okay, not the best, but okay. THEN, I watched it again, this time just ignoring everything and just focusing on his voice and how he sings it. I tell you, I was ready to start crying, it was that good! I think I played it more than 10 times now. And for the first time, I actually want to download that song from Itunes. For me, that's THE BEST performance by Adam.
Scott has got to go. That was awful. Other contestants I like this week was Matt. I totally hate "Part-time Lover" but his performance sold it to me. Anoop did okay but I really hated him last week. Allison I like as well. I'd probably like her more but I have seen Adam perform "I Can't Make You Love Me" and no one else, in my opinion, can top what he did. Bottom 2, because of their performance, are Scott and Lil.

Danny's got a good, strong voice but he just doesn't have very much personality. But I don't like Kris or Matt very much, and at this point I really don't think Lil or Anoop are competition either. Its gonna be Adam all the way.

Another brilliant performance from Mr. Lambert last night. I actually cried because it was so beautiful. And yes - I know I'm obsessed with Adam, thank you very much. So who goes home tonight? I'm hoping for Lil and Anoop. They turned in the worst performances last night and have consistently gave bad performances over the course of season.

Sorry for being gone for a while. Went on vacation.
Now back to business. I was eating pizza for lunch and I almost choked when Adam went into the bottom 3. I thought I was gonna faint when he went into the bottom 2. All I could think of was "What the f*ck?!"

Yeah, and I really don't think she should have done that. Performers shouldn't show bias that way. Even Slash did his best to appear unbiased, although I could tell he favors Adam and Allison.

My sister and I have a plan in place to keep voting the entire four hours, we're gonna switch off as we only have one phone between the two of us. But we're both voting for Adam, so its all good. (She was a Danny fan, and is angry at Kris for "stealing" Danny's place in the finale.) Meanwhile, those of us who hang out in the AI chat on AOL have the lines drawn and are preparing our battle gear for Tuesday and Wednesday night. There was a woman in the chat two nights ago who informed us that we all HAD to vote for Kris because his jaw is deformed. And she kept insisting on this for about two or three hours. It only took me about ten minutes to put her on ignore but I could tell from the others that she was still going.

I am so mad - our stupid phone died after I got only fifteen votes in. But I know of many others who got about the same amount you did. I think my brain exploded when I saw Adam in that long, black leather coat. I was just like UHHHHHHHH. But that last song sucked so bad, which wasn't Adam's fault - it was Kara's.

We have to be gracious about this. Adam was very obviously really happy for Kris. And Kris blurting out "Are you serious? Adam deserves this!" was just perfect. Look at this way - Adam will have more creative freedom than Kris will and he won't have to sing that STUPID song.

Oops - I forgot to talk about the show itself! lol My favorite part was Adam singing with Kiss. I am a HUGE Kiss fan - so that was a fantasy come true for me. I literally hyperventilated over that part. lol And when Adam and Kris started singing "We Are the Champions" my sister and I looked at each other and went Norman  and Tatiana really made me laugh. I don't think poor Ruben realized that was a setup. And HA HA for Bikini Girl getting hers!! She was so rude to Kara and her fellow performers before. I know Adam's parents are rock fans and I saw them going crazy when Adam was singing with Kiss and Queen. What did you think of Rod Stewart? I thought he was a bit snotty not letting anyone sing with him. |

The shock has finally worn off. I actually enjoyed the 2-hour show. I absolutely love that bit with Kiss and Queen. Everyone get to sing duets except Scott, I think. Adam looked amazing! And, yes, he seems very happy with Kris. I can't believe what Kara did! I never liked Rod Stewart.
I saw the post show interviews and both Adam and Kris are very gracious and happy. Have you checked out Adam's official website?
