Who's your favorite sibling?

Let's try not to get into any arguments about who's better or hotter or anything like that though because we all love ITL and we all love the Seven Siblings!  Cheesy

Mine's Orinakin followed closely by Desin.  Really, who doesn't love Orinakin and he does have a bit of an unfair advantage of having the first book be all about him lol.  But he is purple which happens to be my favorite color which really put him right into the running starting with chapter one.  He's so kind and funny and smart and cool and gorgeous and I adore his relationship with Bade!

I also have much love for Desin though.   Not only is green a great color, but he's also totally hot and bi (I'm a girl - so I can pretend that he'd be interested in me lol) and he works outdoors with nature and animals and I think that's so cool and I'm kinda jealous. Oh yeah, and he has Norisa - how flipping cool is she?!  I want to play with her, she's sooo cute!  I get so excited whenever Desin pops up in a chapter!  He's not around enough.

I can't answer this question.  I love them all so much I can't choose.  But if I could only have one tied naked to my bed it would have to be Selorin.  Mmmmmm, Selorin.

Oh God... I have no idea who my favorite sibling is!!  I keep changing my mind!

I adore Remin because... he's golden... and for some crazy reason, I imagine him as a sanctified Nick Carter (twisted, I know).  And I also love the idea of the Royal High Priest being... naughty.  Fantastic.  I can't wait until he gets a boyfriend!!!

I also love Rini.  He's so generous it makes me want to permanently hug him.  I mean, look at what he's ready to do: go spend time on the plains where he knows he'll be uncomfortable (as he's not used to not being in the lap of luxury), in order to help people who need it.  He should so be... Ambassador to the U.N.!  Rini inspires me.  He makes me want to go to Zimbabwe and help all the people riddled with cholera.

Another favorite is Anosanim.  I'm sure he and I could go shopping for hours and never come up for air.

Oh!  And Selorin!  I could talk to him for hours about cases!

And Orinakin because he's an ambassador and I'd love to bedoing something like that!  Plus, he's purple, that's always a plus.

And Talin because he's red and I love red and he's an artist Smiley

Desin I adore simply because of the green tiger.  Awesome.

Oh, and Kudorin.  He's a rainbow and... I just went through all the siblings... shame on me lol.

My favorites keep changing, I told you Smiley

I don't have one favorite... Just some whom I like more than others: Anosanim, Talin, Remin and Selorin.
And some I like less: Orinakin (I never could warm up to him...), Desin (I'm kind of indifferent about him, although I like his interaction with Norisa), and Rini (He does make for great scenes, but he's not one of my favorites).
I'm ambivalent about Kudorin... I think it's because I can't really picture the rainbow hair. Is it all the colors together, or different sections of his hair have different colors? (like front left is yellow, front middle is red, you know).

I've always thought of Kudorin's hair as a blend of every color, although I assume that he can change that at will.  So, like a rainbow, gold blends into orange, blends into red, blends into green, blends into blue, blends into purple.  Or just different variations of that.  As soon as I've figured out Pain Shop Pro (I still want my Photoshop back!), I'll try to show you lol.  Then again... look at the ITL page... the rainbow curtains Diamond made?  That's how I picture Kudorin's hair Smiley

I've always pictured every strand of Kudorin's hair as a different shade of his six favorite colors.  Like, a red strand is right next a gold strand, etc.  (Why?  Because I was looking for rainbow hair pictures and the ones where there are separate sections of colors just make me think of clowns, so...No.  Just no.)

Okay... that's a massive 'NO' on clown hair... because clowns are evil.

But I do like JaeFire's idea!  Although I'm trying to picture it and it makes me dizzy to think of one strand of hair as having 20 colors, although I suppose it makes sense.

Then again, as Kudorin is a god, he can transform his appearance in whichever way he wants.  Remember how his eyes change colors (the color fluidly moves)?  I'm thinking his hair can also be like that... who knows...

Ah!  Wait, no!  I meant each strand is a different color (but only one!)--like a light blue strand is right next to a dark red strand next to a forest green strand--so if you had in your hand only ten strands of hair, they'd each be a different shade of orange, red, blue, green, gold, and purple.  One strand being like 20 colors makes me dizzy, too!

Mine is definitely Talin,  because he's the Royal Artist and I've always had a weak spot for artists.  He also keeps his emotions to himself, something I'm also guilty of.

M (McCartney), I love you.

That being said. It is so so so hard to choose!

My first favorite is definitely Orinakin - He's hot, understanding, and is basically doing the job I would want most in the world. So, yeah - Orinakin. Who fell in love with the sweetest person ever. Who's brother is so like him, they are so completely attached, that he cut his hair without knowing why just to match Orinakin's.

My second favorite is Remin. OMG - seriously. He just... there are so few words I could use to describe how incredibly keyed up I am for a Remin sexual scene of any kind. It is the best kind of anticipation. He's beautiful, wise, striking, and regal. I adore him.

After that is probably goes: Kudorin, Talin, Selorin, Anosanim, Norissa (she totally counts!), Rini and Desin. Rini and Desin pretty much tie. But I love them all!!!!

Yes!!!!  Orinakin's doing a job I would love to do too!!!  I mean, my goal is to work in the United Nations, right, but even then, I might not be able to help anyone the wway Orinakin does.  I and I love the way he's able to do it.  Not to mention that all the *History* he's got crammed into his mind!  I'm like Xio Voe on this one... I want to know it all!!!!!!

I would definately have to say Orinikan is my favorite.  He is HOT (purple is my fav color), Smart, Compassionate, Loyal and Sweet.

Selorin is probably my next favorite.  He is also Hot, Smart and Loyal, plus he has the Truth going for him Smiley

Then Talin and Desin ..
then Anosanim

for some reason I find Rini and Kudorin the hardest to get attached to.

Mmm, I like Kudorin because he's got lots of pretty colors Smiley  That and I'm just in awe of him.

I adore Rini because he's so generous it makes me cry and I want to hug him.  Bedding him wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I don't think I have a clear favorite, but I love certain brothers more than others, which I think probably has more to do with where we are in the books and POV focus than their characters.  I'm sure I'll love them all eventually.

LOVE: Kudorin, Remin, Anosanim, Orinakin

LIKE: Desin, Talin, Rini, Selorin

My favorite used to be Orinakin, but now it's Kudorin. I think it's because I get to "watch" them fall in love. My next favorite will be whoever the next book will be about. Any hints Matthew?

Taunting is nice! Taunting is very nice! It leads to discussion and debate based on taunting, taunting dropped hints.

(I have now realized that the amount I post on this forum is directly linked to the amount of time I spend on the phone with my enabler the lovely young woman who introduced me to ITL, because I make a comment, and she sits there going "post it, post it, post it," until I comply.)

The UN has some great programs! You'll help tons of people! And the UN could sure use your help too.

I would Love to be able to fit all of that history in my head! I am studying to do (on a very minor level -- because, come on not even Hilary Clinton could match toe to toe to Orinakin) what he does: International Management in Public Administration. I'd love to be able to travel the world and try to make it a better place!

After all, its better to try than not, right?

Who's your favorite sibling?

My favourite sibling would be Remin. I don't know, but he calls to me. (his body and aura maybe?  Drool) I'm not that into yellow or gold so it must be his situation that makes me like him. After Remin is Orinakin.

My least favourite sibling has to be Rini. I know he is generous and want everyone well, but I just can't stand the attitude he has. So I am ashamed to say, I sometimes skip his scenes... (but only sometimes!! Angel)

I love and adore Rini.  He's gorgeous and generous and pretty and awesome and he doesn't care that he's going to be uncomfortable as long as he gets to help the people on the plains.

I wish more people were like him... imagine how the world would be if more people said 'to heck with comfort, I'm going to central Africa to help people in need'.  It would be great.

So... Rini is great, and one of my favorite siblings Smiley.

I adore Rini!  I think he's such a sweetie.  I know that some people have trouble reading Rini because he can be so hyper and people think he's either a bit flaky perhaps or selfish...but I think if anything the last several chapters about him going to visit T'rin show how unselfish he can be.  Everyone can be selfish at times and Rini wants to do something incredibly unselfish by going to the Plains to help out and essentially raise awareness of the situtation.  I have to say, I don't think that's something I could ever do.  I enjoy sleeping in beds, running water, and disease free situations too much to put myself in any type 3rd world situation.  I truly admire people that do that, but I know it's not for me.

P.S.  I *heart* Rini so much I named my car after him! Smiley

One of my favorite Rini scenes is when he gives the necklace to that Princess who can't speak to men because in her culture women can't speak to men....or female royalty can't.  I can't exactly remember the specifics.  But I remember that she seemed very gratefull and happy for Rini's attention.  And that Kudorin told Rini later how what he does will afect the world and the lives of many.  I really liked that.  I've also always been curious to see just what happens to the Princess and her country after she returned home, to see how Rini was able to make a difference.

Ouch!  Undecided

 Tongue

I know that some people have trouble reading Rini because he can be so hyper and people think he's either a bit flaky perhaps or selfish...but I think if anything the last several chapters about him going to visit T'rin show how unselfish he can be.

I know you are totally talking about me in that sentence!  Waiting

In the beginning of the story and especially with his interactions with Vade (again in the beginning) I found it very hard to like Rini. He was hyper, rude, and unable to compromise. That turned my off a little - ok a lot. BUT - since then he has shown great strides in maturity and grace. For instance, he didn't insult the princesses guards, he accepted the culture and gave her the necklace properly. I <3 that scene!

Not to mention anytime Trin/Rini are on the screen I about die from how awesomely hot they are. His willingness to do whatever he can to help once he has put his mind to it is also a great great ability. I really think he still has some growth but I definitely have grown to love extra as much as his other brothers (even the parts I still cringe at  Wink )

Like Liz, stoic Talin is my favorite sibling.  Jo S said that it's hard to get attached to Kudorin.  I find that it's true for me as well, and I think it's because Kudorin is soooo perfect already.  I like flawed characters who I can follow until they turn their lives around.  I love reading the part where Talin doubts his purpose and how he finally see how silly those doubts are.  It's heartbreaking to read his struggle with Hitari and how amazing it is to see their hard-fought relationship flourish.  And now I can see Talin finally starting to open up to his brothers.  Because I like flawed characters, I absolutely love Xio Voe!

Remin is my second favorite sibling and I'm praying really hard that his book is next.

I'm attached to them all, for various reasons.  Anosukinom for his vast greatness, Remin for his strength of will, Orinakin for trying to bring peace to the world, Selorin for being so dominant, Desin for looking out for the animals, Anosanim for showing us that beautiful can be strong, Talin because he's just so stoic and sarcastic, and Rini because he's so generous of spirit.

I think that Rini has matured greatly over the course of this series.  He's a deeply generous person and really is a gift from the Gods.

Sueeee, Imma kill you!!  lmao... no quoting LOTR!!

And Extra isn't... small... in any sense of the word.

But he can indeed change the course of the future in the plains by going there.  Heck, he's already changed Xio Voe in a way by hugging him 1,000 times. Cheesy

It occurs to me that  Extra could have a signifigant part in bringing peace to the world.  Look at what he did with that sheltered Princess.  He's making some headway with Xio Voe, whether or not the Heir wants to admit to it.  And his impact on the Kelan plains could have very far reaching implications.

I started the series with definite favorites and least favorites, but as I've gone along I've found myself more and more invested in everyone.  It's absurdly hard to pick one favorite, but if I had to - I'd probably say Remin.  I love his snark, and his vast amounts of self control that hangs by such a tenuous grip, though only his brothers really know that I think.  I love how he eats everything in sight.  One of the things I remember giggling at most in the series so far was when Bade and Vade were trying to decide what to serve at their booth, and they told him there was a version of the cheese-danish-ish things that had more butter and cheese, and Remin completely ignored anything else said in the conversation because there were ones with MORE CHEESE AND BUTTER.  And he hadn't EATEN THEM YET!

After Remin, it's probably a toss up between Selorin and Extra with the others all crowding in close behind.  I love everybody.  Smiley

Hey - cheese and butter are VERY important.  Prince Remin has his priorities in the right place.

Weird but my two fav siblings are also my two fav colors so I guess I went into it prepared to like those two but Rini pissed me off at first, and I wanted to throw things at him... so yeah 1st Orinakin and then Extra

Resurrecting the thread to ask a question: has anyone's favorites changed over the past few months? The more I think about it, the more I realize that my favorite brother tends to be whoever's POV we're reading at the time. I'm fickle. Flirty Blink But if I had to pick one, it would be Remin. He intrigues me like crazy. I remember when Bade asked Orinakin what each of his brothers felt like and Orinakin said that Remin is like two different people with his serene piety and his simmering passion constantly at odds with each other (not his exact words, but you get my drift).

That and, as I am a shallow and lustful creature, he's hot, horny, kinky, and insatiable and I can't wait for him to be able to unleash that. In fact, I would want Kudorin to manipulate time and space so that Remin and his new husband can get it on right after they complete the wedding ceremony.

After Remin, it's Selorin. I adore Orinakin, too, and Kudorin. The younger four need some seasoning before I can get attatched, you know? Though Desin is getting there pretty damn swiftly. Rowr.  Drool

Hmm.  I don't think that my favorites have changed, really... evolved, maybe, but not changed.

I adore Remin simply because I'm awe over his.... abilities (I'll leave which abilities to your imagination) and I can't wait until The Golden Book is released.

And I still love Rini to bits.  I can't wait to see what he does, it should be awesome.

But I guess I do have a newfound  Red Heart for Selorin (*hides from Sue*).

Oh crap I have to choose???  Mesmerized

I will say I have to admit to loving them all but in different ways.  With that being said if I had to choose one and only one... this being the biggest surprise to me, I will confess to loving Anosanim most.  And I really can't say why Thinking  I just do.

If the choice was based on what I do and what I value, my choice would have been Desin.  Plant's and animals are my two favorite things.

If it was based on color it would be Orinakin, cause purple has always been my fav color.

Has it changed through time?  Probably a bit, more just solidifying my choice, than changing it though.

My first three favorites remain unchanged: Remin, Selorin and Rini.  As for the others, I love them all in turn lol.

I just adore Desin for the way he helped the Barbarian, whose name I just can't seem to remember at the moment.  And I love Rini even more for it.

I guess that I can say that my favorites vary a little depending on which book we're on.  During part of the Purple Book, Selorin wasn't one of my favorites at all.  Now I can't wait for his book!

 *d*esin.  Probably Remin next.

And the rest all together after. Though Vade deserves to be up their somewhere if he was one of the seven.
